Doug's parents lived in Oak Hill for a short time in 1941.Oak Hill is a very small community about 5 miles east of Elmwood.
Elmwood (1939 map).Doug remembers Elmwood had being 1600+ people in the '50's.
1941-49 Doug's parents lived in the "Sam Tidd" home on North Lilac directly north of the fire house. Brother Barry was born December 23, 1943. Doug's parents were divorced in 1946.
