Checking the Corn

The corn fields seem to drying a lot earlier than usual. However, little Zeb went to check on a nearby field and found that the stalks were still green.

Knee High by the 4th of July

We have all marveled how fast the corn has grown after a recent rain. It's sure beats the old saying "Knee High by the Fourth of July"

Fourth of July Fireworks

The Coulter's went with Dave and Phyliss Sanson and Phyliss' mother to the East Peoria riverfront to see the fireworks. The view was good and the show was stupendous but short. The traffic jam was long - 1 1/2 hours to get out of the parking lot.
