Preparing Trip MoneyDoug is getting his cold hard cash ready for the Coulter's trip to Arizona. Doug has a bunch of the new $1 coins for tipping. The bills will be marked with the Where's George stamp to see the locations where they have traveled.

Making Sweetheart Favors
Doug is cutting squares of heart paper and red netting for Marilee to use in making favors for the Glen Hill Evangelical Free Church's Sweetheart Banquet.

Sleeve Alteration
Doug received a nice jacket for Christmas from his son-in-law's parents. Our good friend, Sandy Fox, an excellent seamstress, will shorten the sleeve length for Doug.

For a Good Night's Sleep
You need a pillow under your knees, a McKenzie roll for the small of your back, a McKenzie roll for your neck, a mouth piece to stop teeth grinding, a chin strap to stop mouth breathing, a BiPap machine to prevent sleep apnea, a pill to reduce leg movement, darkening shades to keep out light, a cool room, a firm bed and, of course, a favorite stuffed animal!

Fellowship around the Dinner Table.The Crow's and the Lavendar's were to join the Coulter's for an evening of fellowship. However the Lavendar's had to cancel because of an work obligation so friends Lora Lea and Kathy were called in to make a quorom.

Lunch Time with the Sanson's
Doug joined with Dave and Phyllis Sanson at Culver's restaurant. Dave is remodeling their kitchen so going out for lunch was appropriate. Remodeling, computers and Christian experiences were the main topics of discussion.

Elmwood Class of '57 Planning Session
The class of 1957 from Elmwood, IL high school is planning a 50th reunion celebration. Doug forgot to take a picture when everybody was present. Karen, Sharon and Virginia graciously smiled for the camera.

Dan and Melanie Fritch visit the Coulter's. Leslie, Elijah, Malachi and Jesse also joined Doug and Marilee for supper and conversation.Day 23 - January 23, 2007
Dr. Henry is evaluating Doug's back problem.
The result is a cortisone injection to relieve his back symptons.

Doug Watches the Bears Go To the Super Bowl!
The Bears win 39 to 14 for a trip to the Super Bowl for the first time in 21 years. A lot of us remember well Mike Ditka's 1985 Super Bowl XX Champion Chicago Bears.

Doug's New Vest
Doug likes vests and owns several ever since he bought one to go to the Holy Land. This one was one the sale rack at Bergner's and couldn't be resisted. Most of them have trinkets and pins all over.

Doug has a winner!
A DVD of a Christmas movie was the prize in a drawing at the local Christian bookstore. See, Marilee doesn't win everything.
Day 16 - January 16, 2007
Doug is preparing all the items need to make a "Home Plaque". Marilee sells these by special order for weddings, homes, realtor sales etc. See www.MarileeCoulter.com for information. She uses the profits to support a native missionary in Africa.
Day 11 - January 11, 2007
Lora Lea Hawk joins Doug and Marilee a couple of times a week to play Farkle. It is often a heated battle.

We play at least 3 games of 500 rummy (with Coulter rules) every day. It gets pretty rough at times!
