Kilroy Was Here!
Grandson Connor was here! A discussion ensued after Chris read about the real story of the "Kilroy Was Here" tradition that started in World War II and was spread around the world by soldiers.

Preparing for these guys!
The Coulter's daughter Cara is putting grandsons Ryland and Connor on the plane tomorrow for a stay with "Grandma and Grandpa Illinois".

Youth Baseball is well under way...
in California. Grandson Connor has been doing quite good
as a starting pitcher.

Connor Returns to Sacramento
Doug never got around to taking a good-bye picture of Connor. Marilee accompanied Connor to the boarding area so Doug wandered around Midway Airport taking pictures.

Many, many, many games of Uno were played during Connor's visit.
Connor won more than his share of games.

Day 220 - Wednesday August 8, 2007

Cheetos, Transformers, Tinkertoys, Uno, Marbles, War, fast food, silly games and jokes were the supporting ingredients for Connor's stay with Grandpa and Grandma. Although Cheetos got stuck in his braces.

Day 219 - Tuesday August 7, 2007

Connor Watches
It wasn't all fun and games for Connor. He had to go with Grandpa to get his blood checked. It was a first for Connor.

Day 218 - Monday August 6, 2007

War Injury
Nerf bullets and missiles were flying all around the house. Connor sustained a game injury when he was engaged in war games with his Grandpa.

Watching Family Pictures
Connor enjoyed seeing pictures and hearing stories about his Mother as she was growing up. Grandpa also reviewed pictures of Connor's visit last year. Connor and Doug had a good time making up stories about the pictures.

Day 217 - Sunday August 5, 2007

Heading Home
Chuck-E-Cheese in Bloomington was a pleasant place to stop and eat on the way home. Grandma and Grandpa assisted Connor in defeating the bad guys.

First Day of a Vacation with the Coulter's Grandson, Connor
We are heading for a few days of adventure and to go to the
Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky near Cincinnati.

Courthouse Mustache
The joke " How do you know a male hummingbird from a female? - by his mustache!" hit our funny bone. We decided to explore the Historic Town of Greensburg, IN. Its "historicness" was a tree growing on the courthouse steeple since the 1870's. Connor said it was a "green mustache". http://www.cityofgreensburg.com/history.html

Guilford Covered Bridge
Grandpa spotted a covered bridge and had to stop to admire it and take some pictures.

Conner's Swim
We stayed in a lovely motel in Lawrence, IN which is just across the Ohio River from Kentucky and the Creation Museum

Day 211- Monday July 30, 2007

Connor Arrives!
Connor almost missed his plane from Sacramento due to huge Monday morning crowds. In a slight panic after Connor was paged to get on the plane, his Mother, Cara, had to go around people to the get through security. Connor was the last one on the plane. He arrived safely in Chicago and was able to give Grandpa a zebra card.
