Marilee's First Tardia Tulip 2008

Last spring, Marilee spotted these flowers at the Lilac Festival on the Eureka College campus. Even the master gardners at the event didn't know their name. Doug's master gardner cousin, Richard Coon, was able to identify the species which Marilee promptly purchased and planted for blooming this spring.

Bird Lecture

Doug's cousin, Richard Coon and his wife Nancy are Master Gardners. Richard made a nice presentation on how to attract birds into your yard. It was part of the celebration program for a new greenhouse at Hoerr Nursery.
