Making a "Buddy Icon"

Flickr has a "buddy icon" but it is only 48 x 48 pixels big. Doug tried a self portrait - no good; tried his name in blocks - no good; so he went for the zebra - just OK. See the results in the upper right hand corners.

Notice how Doug placed the blocks like Boogle i.e. sum 2 or 3 adjacent blocks and get the total on the last block. All blocks are used at least once. WOW - ain't that something!
