"The Pioneers" overlooking Elmwood's Downtown
Lorado Taft lost his first sculpture to a storm. In June of 2009, a terrific windstorm destroyed most of the trees in the park. On June 5th, a tornado destroyed most of the downtown. However, the Pioneers are still standing and overlooking the town despite the storm damage.
